The Chef
Biography
Born and raised near Venice, Italy, Michael D'Angelo developed a deep appreciation for food and hospitality at an early age, inspired by the traditions of his family table. After earning his culinary diploma, he refined his craft in Rome under the guidance of renowned pastry chef Stéphane Betmon.
Michael's career accelerated when he joined the two-Michelin-star Carlo Cracco in Milan. He further honed his expertise during a two-year tenure at a Michelin-starred Relais & Châteaux property in Verona, followed by experience in Málaga, Spain, collaborating with acclaimed chef Iván Pápette.
At just 23, Michael relocated to London to join Pollen Street Social, the Michelin-starred restaurant by Jason Atherton. There, he led the development of innovative dessert menus for one of the city's most celebrated dining destinations.
He went on to play a key role in the opening of Park Chinois in Mayfair, expanding his creative vision within a luxury hospitality setting, before overseeing the launch of Louie London, a flagship project for Paris Society in London's West End.
Most recently, Michael served as Pre-Opening Executive Pastry Chef at The Roof Gardens, where he elevated the pastry program at one of London's most prestigious private members' clubs.
In 2024, he founded MDA Consultancy, through which he works internationally as a Private Pastry Chef for ultra-high-net-worth individuals across the UK, India, and Saudi Arabia, while also providing bespoke pastry consultancy services to leading hotels, restaurants, and exclusive private events.
